Of course the most obvious one is wedding invitations. Ordering invitations is not just the invitation but usually you order other pieces to compliment the invitation such as thank you cards, save the date cards, reception cards and direction cards.
Save the Date cards can be purchased in some wedding invitation packages, matching the design of the other stationery that you chose, or they could have been purchased earlier and sent out to your guests before reception cards and direction cards.
Save the Date cards can be purchased in some wedding invitation packages, matching the design of the wedding stationery that you chose, or they could have been purchased earlier and sent out to your guests before choosing your wedding design. Save the date cards actually now come in other designs such as picture postcards and magnets.
Of course there is other stationery that you may need to buy, it all depends on the size of your wedding and who is in charge of buying the stationery. Usually the bride (or the bride and groom) picks out the wedding invitations but other stationery may be done by other people. For instance you probably will not pick out the bridal shower invites, but you may want to send out engagement announcements, thank you notes or rehearsal dinner invitations.
Regardless of what you choose you will have a need for wedding stationery, including how to address and word each piece and when to send it out.
